The technique was reportedly developed to help soldiers to recharge their batteries at a moment's notice in any environment.Now millions of civilians have been taught the method by fitness coach Justin Agustin.

In a viral video viewed over seven million times, he claims it takes six weeks of practice for 96 percent of people who try it to succeed.The technique traces back to 1981 in a book written by American track and field coach Lloyd Bud Winter, as reported by the Mirror.

In his book Relax and Win: Championship Performance, he describes the technique as a way to help reduce the frequency of sports injuries and improve sports performance.On TikTok, fitness coach Justin informed his 1.7 million followers that if they practice this every night for six weeks, they should be able to fall asleep "within two minutes of closing your eyes".
