Steve Alderson, from Delph in Oldham, was just 64-years-old when he died. His unexpected death came after just six weeks of being diagnosed with cancer.
The diagnosis came as a heart-breaking shock to his loving family who saw him as an active and healthy farmer while, at the same time, being told he was going to die.
