Halsey had a gracious response to Pitchfork’s less-than-positive review of their new album The Great Impersonator.
The 30-year-old “Without Me” hitmaker dropped the project on October 25. It received a score of 4.8 out of 10 from the outlet, which has some history with Halsey.
If you were unaware, Halsey reacted negatively after their album Manic received a bad review in 2020. In a tweet, she wrote, “can the basement that they run p*tchfork out of just collapse already.” At the time, she was unaware that the Pitchfork office was located in the One World Trade Center building.
They apologized for the misunderstanding and deleted the post. Four years later, Halsey had a different response to the new review. Keep reading to find out more… The outlet wrote, “With a muddled concept at its core, Halsey’s fifth album languishes in dull pop-rock corridors behind emotionally potent but unremarkable songwriting.” However, taking to X (formerly Twitter), Halsey focused on the positives from the review.
