Grace Van Patten To Play Amanda Knox In Hulu Limited Series
deadline.comGrace Van Patten, star of the Hulu drama series Tell Me Lies, has been recruited to headline another project for the streamer, a limited series about Amanda Knox.
Van Patten will play Knox, succeeding Margaret Qualley who had been originally cast in the role but pulled out for scheduling reasons.
The untitled eight-episode series, from creator KJ Steinberg and 20th Television in association with The Littlefield Company and Monica Lewinsky’s Alt Ending Productions, covers Knox’s 16-year journey to set herself free after being wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher.
In the latest wrinkle in the case, an Italian court last week upheld Knox’s slander conviction, the last remaining conviction stemming from the case of Meredith Kercher’s 2007 murder.
