Kilmarnock say they aim to get work underway on their new training centre 'within the next month' after receiving planning permission for the facility.East Ayrshire Council's planning committee approved the move on Friday following public consultation on the plan with the new purpose-built training centre set to include two full size pitches along with a training complex and a 250-seat stand located between Kilmarnock and Crookedholm. The opening of the Bowie Park Training Centre will lead to the artificial surface at Rugby Park being lifted at the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, with the club reverting back to a grass park in time for the following campaign. When announcing the plans initially, the club stated: "The facility is the future for the club’s men’s, women’s and junior teams, providing a new space for all levels to train together.

This facility has designated space for the squads and creates a home for the women’s team. The new facility will allow Kilmarnock Football Club to grow from grassroots to the first-team, to improve and progress through Scottish and European football competitions."
