Gethin Jones opens up about depression, Katherine Jenkins break-up and personal battles

BBC Morning Live presenter Gethin Jones has candidly opened up about his battles with mental health and depression which he sheltered from viewers as he has also spoke of his break-up with singer Katherine Jenkins for the first time.The 45-year-old Welsh television host appeared to have a picture perfect life, although he explained how he was often numb inside adding: "I didn’t know why I was in a rut and I just couldn’t work it out."The Welsh-born TV host has never spoken about his "bad bout of depression" before or the breakdown of his public relationship with his fiancé after the pair first met on Strictly Come Dancing.Gethin explained by speaking in an interview with the Mirror on their Outdoors in Mind podcast that he hopes by opening up it can encourage other people who are suffering with their mental health to seek help. “I was engaged and then breaking up, afterwards, or even during that period, it was just awful,” he told the Mirror. “I remember doing BBC Radio 5Live and going into the toilet at 5.30am going, ‘All right.
