Streaming pay-TV operator Fubo beat Wall Street estimates in the second quarter, reporting a loss of 8 cents a share and $382.7 million in total revenue.
The loss improved upon the year-ago quarter’s loss of 19 cents a share, while revenue increased 26%. Fubo also said it hit 1.45 million paid subscribers, up 24% from the same period in 2023.
The financial results came on the same morning a hearing will begin in federal court in New York in Fubo’s antitrust lawsuit against Disney, Fox and Warner Bros.
Discovery. The suit claims that the media companies’ colluded and used their market leverage to plan a streaming joint venture, Venu Sports, that would undercut Fubo.
