Four suspects appear in court charged in connection with murder of Susan Turner

Four people have this afternoon appeared in court and been charged with the murder of Susan Turner in Ayr.Jason Bell, 49, Dee Black, 40, Ryan Hill, 25 and Michelle Ramage,41, all of Ayr, have all been charged with Susan's murder.All four have also been charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice, while Bell, Black and Ramage face additional charges of the contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.During their appearance in private they made no plea and were committed for further examination and remanded in custody.On Tuesday morning, police told how three people - two men, aged 25 and 49, and a 40-year-old woman - were arrested in connection with Ms Turner's death and that enquiries were "ongoing."Later on Tuesday afternoon, police then issued an update, saying a fourth person had been arrested in connection with the death.All four appeared in private at Ayr Sheriff Court this afternoon.Around 10.15am on Monday, 27 March, Police were called to a flat in Nursery Hall and a 41-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.She was later named as Susan Turner, from the Whitletts area of Ayr.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories while you can customise your page with the sections that matter to you.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now on iOS and Android.Following a post mortem examination on Tuesday, March 28, detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team confirmed that the death was being treated as murder.The four people charged with her murder will appear in court
