Former NFL Star Sergio Brown Missing; His Mom Found Dead In Illinois
justjared.comSergio Brown is being reported as missing, following his mother, Myrtle Simmons Brown, being found dead near a creek in Illinois, according to reports.
E! News, via the Cook County Police Department, is reporting that Myrtle was found deceased on Satruday, September 16, while they had been conducting a search for Sergio. Keep reading to find out more… The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed in a statement that Myrtle was found at a creek near to her home and she as “unresponsive” and her death has been ruled as a homicide.
In an additional report from the Maywood Police Department, they are still searching for Sergio. Nick Brown, Sergio‘s brother, spoke out in an Instagram post about the death of his mom, as well as Sergio’s disappearance. “It’s a sad but hopeful time, and we will all get through this together,” he wrote in the caption. “Mom always told me, ‘tough times don’t last’ and our last conversation about tough times being temporary is my beacon of hope.” Nick also told fans to refrain from coming to his family’s property because of the ongoing investigation. “My brother Sergio is still missing,” Nick added. “If anyone knows where he is I want him to know that I love you and please come home.” In his career, Sergio played for the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and for the Buffalo Bills.
