We travelled to the idyllic island of Kandima with our two sons, aged seven and four. After a 10-and-a-half hour flight from London to the Maldivian capital, Malé, the 45-minute seaplane trip to Kandima gave us our first proper glimpse of the breathtaking sandy white isles.
