Perth pub owner has slammed the council for forcing him to close after they found his establishment was serving meals without a food licence.Edward Gray, owner of The Robert Burns Lounge, began serving microwaveable dishes, soups and sandwiches to customers when he reopened last Monday.It allowed him to serve alcohol to punters when accompanied by a ‘main meal’ under the tier two rules.Fears children could be badly hurt on roads around Perthshire schoolBut the venue was abruptly shut down only a few days later following a visit by the environmental health team from Perth and Kinross Council.The council has outlined that any business that sells food must register their establishments with the council at least 28 days prior to.
