Police have named the man who died in an early morning Scots horror crash that tragically claimed two lives.Van driver Emil Tenev was killed last Tuesday, February 13, following the three-car pile up on the A75, near Annan.Emergency crews raced to the scene at around 6.20am but Emil, 35, died at the scene alongside 41-year-old Melissa Delaney.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.20am, on Tuesday, 13 February, 2024, police were called to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on the A75.
Emergency services attended, however 35-year-old Emil and 41-year-old Melissa Delaney were pronounced dead at the scene."Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers continue to appeal for witnesses."The incident, near the B721 junction, involved a Renault Clio, Emil's Peugeot Boxer van and Melissa's Nissan Qashqai.
The road was closed for hours while officers investigated the crash.Heartfelt tributes have since been paid to Melissa whose traffic cop husband was called to the scene.
It is understood he turned around when he was told of the identity of the deceased.Melissa's heartbroken daughter commented: "My beautiful mum", followed by two love heart emojis.
