First look inside new Lane 7 bowling, shuffleboard and games venue in Altrincham

With neon graffiti walls, bright pink ping pong and pool tables and three different bowling alleys to try, the new Lane 7 venue in Altrincham is about to make its colourful mark on the town.

The "competitive socialising" bar opens its doors to the public on Friday. But we headed for a sneak peek inside the huge new entertainment complex, which has taken over part of the former House of Fraser store in the Stamford Quarter.

It comes amid a rapid redevelopment of this part of the town, just opposite Altrincham train and tram station. It becomes Lane 7's second Greater Manchester outpost, following in the footsteps of its popular Manchester city centre venue. It includes two private lanes you can book out in the stylish "Red Room" with red velvet curtains and booth seating perfect for parties.
