Spain are now facing a 14-day quarantine on return home due to coronavirus second wave fears. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon took to Twitter on Saturday night to announce a shock U-turn of the recent decision to relax self-isolation restrictions from the tourist hotspot.

In recent weeks, many had planned a holiday to Spain confident that they would return without the hassle of missing two weeks off work.

But the shock announcement has now left holidaymakers fuming and confused as to whether their getaway will still go ahead. The so-called 'travel corridor' with Spain was shutdown after the country reported a spike of infections in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza for the past two days.
