Batman star Michael Keaton has flown into Glasgow via a private jet to film the latest scenes for Batgirl. Hollywood actor Michael, 70 arrived at the Scots airport on a Bombardier Global 6000 from Los Angeles to take a starring role in the movie opposite singer and actress Leslie Grace.
The Caped Crusader was spotted over the weekend in scenes filmed under the Kingston Bridge for the HBO series and fans filmed from their cars as actor JK Simmons also donned uniform as Gotham City PD Commissioner.Michael who also played the title character in Tim Burton's horror-comedy Beetlejuice, first played Batman in Tim Burton's iconic 1989 movie.Leslie Grace confirmed his involvement in the Glasgow movie in December on Twitter, when she tweeted the line "the bat's out the bag".The comic book character of Batman has already been seen in previous scenes for the movie in a mural alongside Robin in Trongate area which became Gotham City's Cherry Hill for filming weeks ago.The production of Batgirl will be filming in Scotland until March and so far has featured shots of burning buildings, and Batgirl atop of some of the roofs of the Merchant City.
