Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has sadly died at the age of 76.The Three Lions manager revealed in January that "at best" he had a year to live after being diagnosed with cancer.
In a statement released on Monday, 26 August, his family announced the heartbreaking news. “Sven-Goran Eriksson has passed away.
After a long illness, SGE died during the morning at home surrounded by family,” they said. After retiring as a football player when he was 27 years old, Sven turned his attention to managing teams and he managed England from 2001-2006.
