Two years ago, Prince William and Kate Middleton made the decision to relocate their three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - from London to Windsor.The family chose Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Home Park as their new home, a four-bedroom property that is considerably more modest than their previous Kensington Palace apartment.
There were several reasons behind this move, but one of Prince William's motivations was particularly poignant and related to his dearly loved grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth.This touching detail was revealed by Royal author and journalist Robert Jobson in his latest book Catherine, Princess of Wales.
He suggested that a significant reason for the family's move to Windsor was the couple's wish to spend as much time as possible with the late Queen during her final days.
The Royal expert penned that William "knew his time with his grandmother was precious and he is delighted they, as a couple, made that decision," He added: "Catherine understood that for William, as a future king, it was important for him to be geographically closer to the late Queen in her final months, when he was required to support both her and his father.
