Craig unexpectedly came back into Lydia's life after bumping into him at a job fair at the Hide and the pair were later seen bonding after Lydia told Craig she had given birth to their stillborn baby when they were in a teenage relationship while living in the same children's home.
But things turned awkward when Craig appeared to want to make a move on Lydia, despite her being happily married to Sam. As a result, she decided to speak to Craig and tell him that she was with Sam and that she wasn't interested in him. It left Lydia keeping her ordeal a secret and even saw Mandy and Belle accuse her and Craig of having an affair. It is then when the truth came out after opening up to her boss Kim Tate, Lydia decided it was time to tell her family the heartbreaking truth.
