Ella Henderson has addressed the nearly eight year-long wait between her two albums. Ella was this week's guest on The Record Club with Bowers & Wilkins, where she talked to Jess Iszatt about the gap between 2014's Chapter One and the just-released Everything I Didn't Say. "I think that anyone who knows my journey [...] it's been really bizarre for me.

Obviously, [The X Factor] was 10 years ago now. I don't think I realised how young I was when it started." Ella adds, "[The long wait] was never an intentional thing.

When I came back [after touring Chapter One] I realised I had nothing to write about that was relatable. My life had gone crazy, and I feel like everything I write about is really personal." Watch the interview with Ella Henderson in full below.

In an interview with OfficialCharts.com on the day of Everything I Didn't Say's release, Ella also opened up about how the success of her Number 1 single Ghost made her realise that she needed to "take a step back...I needed to live." Designed as a book club for albums, The Record Club in association with Bowers & Wilkins is a bi-monthly livestream, hosted by BBC Music’s Jess Iszatt, on Facebook Live, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube Live every other Wednesday.
