The Education Secretary was caught on camera voicing her frustrations over coverage surrounding the potentially dangerous concrete in many British schools.
Footage released by ITV News shows Gillian Keegan, who was still wearing a microphone while the camera repositioned for extra shots, claiming the government had gone "over and above" in dealing with the situation.
She could also be heard criticising others during the short outburst. It comes following reports that more than 100 schools in the UK contain reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (raac) - while Ms Keegan today admitted hundreds more could be affected.
It has resulted in a number of schools being forced to close shortly before the start of the new school year while repairs take place.
