EastEnders fans can't shake the feeling that Grant Mitchell will be making his way back to Walford for the soap's 40th anniversary next year.
As the BBC One favourite prepares to celebrate four decades of drama, executive producer Chris Clenshaw has been dropping a few tantalising hints about possible returns, teasing: "We've got quite a few treats coming up." He shared with The Daily Star: "The 40th anniversary has been in the works for quite some time.
It is about celebrating the history of the show. I think the nostalgic element of EastEnders means a lot". Chris said: "We don't bring characters back just because it gets a lovely reaction." He continued: "It all depends on the story where the characters are.
