During a segment on the popular daytime TV show, Dermot, alongside co-hosts Alison Hammond, Vanessa Feltz and Nick Ferrari, spoke about the troubling news.
A visibly moved Vanessa, who personally knows Michael, was comforted by Dermot as he said: "We can only hope and pray and send our love to all his loved ones that he's found." The mystery began when Michael, known for his diet books, vanished on the Greek island of Symi after a walk from St Nicholas Beach to Pedi last Thursday.
His absence set off alarm bells when his agent disclosed that the 67 year old had not returned from his stroll. Authorities have since been scouring the island, part of the Dodecanese archipelago, for any sign of him.
