Daniel Radcliffe, 34, has broken his silence about the forthcoming “Harry Potter” TV series. “I don’t think so,” he told E! News about whether he’ll appear in it. “I think they very wisely want to [have] a clean break.

And I don’t know if it would work to have us do anything in it.”Radcliffe starred as the Boy Who Lived in all eight installments of the “Harry Potter” franchise for a decade of his life, from 2001-2011.

In April, Max announced that the “Harry Potter” series will also get a TV adaptation.“The stories from each of Rowling’s Harry Potter books will become a decade-long series produced with the same epic craft, love and care this global franchise is known for,” the platform said in its press release about the show. “The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over 25 years.”Radcliffe — who recently became a new dad when he welcomed a son in April with his longtime partner, Erin Darke, 39 — has also publicly disagreed with J.K.

Rowling about her controversial stance on transgender issues. “It’s clear that we need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities,” he said in a 2020 letter to the Trevor Project.
