Dame Deborah James has topped the charts with her posthumously published book, How To Live When You Could Be Dead. Her book was finalised in the late campaigner's final weeks as she worked hard on completing it before her passing and has now become the bestselling non-fiction debut of 2022 so far.
A total of 40,878 copies were sold following its release on August 18, according to Nielsen BookScan's Total Consumer Market, writes the Mirror.
Deborah died on June 28 at the age of 40 surrounded by her family in June this year, following a five-year battle with bowel cancer.
Since her diagnosis, Deborah campaigned tirelessly using her social media accounts Bowelbabe, to raise awareness of the disease and raise millions for charity in her final weeks.By May of this year, Deborah revealed she was receiving end-of-life care and used her final weeks to complete her book at her parent's home.
