As viewers of the ITV soap know, serial killer Stephen Reid held Jenny and his own niece Sarah Barlow hostage in the Rovers Return before he was mowed down and killed by Peter Barlow in shock scenes aired in October.
But the landlady later had her deadly, late ex-partner to thank for getting the Rovers - which she had sold to Newton and Ridley before they sold it to Waterfords - back after Daisy located the money he had stolen the almost £250,000 from Underworld.
A panicked Jenny didn't know what to do but a stealy Daisy managed to convince her that they should use the hidden lump sum to buy the pub back but she promised Jenny they'd pay Carla back every penny.
