Stephen Reid has previously made no secret of his affections for Jenny Connor but his last Romeo attempts fell short as the Rovers Return landlady was in a relationship with Leo Thompkins.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, however, Stephen has since killed Leo after he got close to exposing his plans to steal money from his own mother, Audrey Roberts.
He then made it look like he had gone ahead with his planned move to Canada but when his dad realised his son hadn't left the country, Stephen killed Teddy too.
More recently, after killing businessman Rufus Donahue in his own pool and nearly going ahead with bumping off his now-ex but then wife-to-be Elaine Metcalfe, and now it looks like Jenny could be at risk of being played by the serial killer after selling the Rovers to Newton and Ridley.
