Coronation Street couple 'torn apart' by new arrival Cassie Plummer

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed one of the most popular couples on the ITV soap could be set to hit a roadblock, following the arrival of Tyrone's estranged mum Cassie Plummer.Kevin and Abi Webster have been one of the strongest couples and fan-favourites, however their romance could be shaken up with Cassie enlisting help from the mechanic after running into more problems yet again.It comes as viewers saw in previous episodes that Cassie was helped to overcome her battle with drugs by Abi, played by Sally Carman, so it would come as a huge turn of events if she betrayed her in such a way.Cassie is left seething after being told to keep quiet at the meeting with the taxi company and storms off in a rage after being instructed to let Kevin, Abi and her son Tyrone do the talking as everyone is stunned when the police show up.The detectives inform Tyrone they have reason to believe his car was involved in a hit-and-run, reports the Mirror.

Tyrone is left suspicious as he believes his troubled mum has something to do with it as he examines his motor.Tyrone, who also works in the garage, quizzes mum Cassie on where she was the day his car was used in a hit-and-run although she denies having anything to do with the incident.

Evelyn, played by acting star Maureen Lipman, doesn’t believe Cassie, and we have to wait to see if Tyrone takes his mother’s word.

Kevin Webster later discovers Cassie in a drunken state at Victoria Gardens and realises she can't go home; he offers her a place to stay on his couch, and she agrees not wanting son Tyrone to see her in this mess.The following day Kevin tells wife Abi about the situation and makes it clear Tyrone can't find out.
