Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Citylink to launch new bus service between Glasgow and Troon

A new direct bus service is to link Glasgow and Troon.The route, operated by Scottish Citylink, will run seven days a week, with four services in each direction every day, and will link in with every ferry service each day between Troon and Arran.The new service will also see the introduction of the first electric vehicle on the Citylink network - a 47-seat Yutong TCE12 vehicle which has a range of 200 miles.Timings on the new route are aligned with the Calmac ferry operation between Troon and Brodick, with the first coach trip leaving Glasgow at 7.15am on weekdays to arrive in time for the first ferry of the day, and departing Troon Harbour at 4.50pm after the last ferry arrives from Arran.At weekends, the first service will leave Glasgow at 7.35am and the last service will depart Troon Harbour at 8pm.

The service will also serve Troon town centre as part of the route, offering a direct link between Troon and Glasgow. Fares on the route start from £10 return and tickets can be booked at citylink.co.ukScottish Citylink Managing Director, Simone Walsh, said: “This new service will allow people a hassle-free way to travel between Glasgow and Troon, to connect with the ferry services to Arran, and is another example of ways that we work hard to join up journeys for our customers.

We’re also delighted to be introducing the first electric vehicle on to our network - it’s a great opportunity for us to make this an even greener route - and we hope our customers enjoy travelling on this state of the art coach.”The service will be operated by Hairy Haggis Tours on behalf of Citylink.
