The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine McGuinness has opened up about her life-changing experience taking part in BBC series Pilgrimage, in which she, along with a host of other famous faces from different faiths took part in a trek together to better understand each others beliefs and spirituality.

Appearing on The One Show to discuss her participation in the series, which this year sees the star follow the North Wales Pilgrim’s Way, Christine, 36, revealed that taking part in the process had helped her overcome one obstacle in particular - her debilitating fear of dying, which often dominated her thoughts.

Asked what she had learnt from the process, Christine explained: “So much! Getting to know everybody else, understanding other people and religions.

I think one of the best things was making friends. But for me personally I think it was not being so afraid of dying anymore.” The mum of three then went on to reveal how she often worried about her own morality and constantly had to battle to try and keep it out of her mind.
