The Great British Bake Off fans have slammed Tuesday night's challenge, claiming that the remaining bakers were given an unfair advantage during the technical challenge.On the most recent episode - which saw 50-year-old Saku booted from the competition - judge Paul Hollywood challenged the contestants to create multiple steamed treacle puddings in one hour and thirty minutes.The challenge saw many of the bakers disappointed with their efforts - resulting in some serving raw and undercooked puddings.However, despite their disappointment, fans rushed to social media to defend the bakers, criticising the show.Taking to X, fans vented their frustrations at the judges and programme.
One person typed on X: "Set up to fail. Not enough time given when they all practically serve up under baked treacle puds #bakeoff." Another chimed in: "They need a pressure cooker or more time!!
Ridiculous challenge. #bakeoff." A third commented: "Maybe if Paul Hollywood set a technical with a REASONABLE time limit, instead of making it borderline impossible for most people, the bakers would perform somewhere above "terrible".
They do this every year. #bakeoff." A fourth said: "I’d like to know how long it took to make the ones that Prue & Paul showed ahead of the challenge?
