Call the Midwife's Helen George has shared some exciting news about her career, following some "heartbreaking" scenes on the popular drama series.The 39 year old actress, who is famous for playing Trixie Franklin in the BBC show, posted a picture of herself looking chilled out backstage at The King and I musical at the Dominion Theatre in London looking stunning in a flowing satin gown.
In the musical, Helen plays the main character, Anna Leonowens - a schoolteacher who is hired by the King of Siam to help modernise his country.
On her Instagram Stories, she told her followers that they only have a few more days to see her perform on stage. Helen captioned a photo of herself holding a potato and smiling at the camera in her dramatic costume: "One week left to come and see us!" She added: "Potato purely for comfort and unrelated to the show." The King and I will be showing at the Dominion Theatre until Saturday 2 March, so fans are eager to see what Helen will do next.This comes after Helen's fans were left "heartbroken" when her Call the Midwife character Trixie had to say goodbye to her husband.
On Sunday 25 February, viewers saw Trixie's happy ending fall apart when she discovered her husband Matthew Aylward's (Olly Rix) financial troubles.
