Businessman donates huge gift to Salford Lads Club in memory of his father

Salford is in Andy Beaden's blood. His grandparents ran a classic "Coronation Street" style corner shop in Salford, and his dad lived above the store.

Today, he and his business partner now run a company based at The Quays. It employs 70 and helps young people get better jobs by providing new technology skills training.

When the businessman saw Salford Lads and Girls Club was facing a crisis, he knew what he had to do.
