Bruce Willis‘ rep is speaking out after a recent report claimed that the actor had sold his digital likeness to Deepcake, a deepfake company.
The 67-year-old actor announced earlier this year that he would be retiring from acting due to health issues, but the deepfake deal seemingly made it possible for his likeness to continue appearing in projects. Bruce‘s “digital twin” has already appeared in a Deepcake project, which the company says was set up through the actor’s reps at CAA. Click inside for a statement from Bruce Willis’ rep… A rep for Bruce told THR that he “has no partnership or agreement with this Deepcake company.” THR explains that Deepcake’s spokesperson said “their company created his digital twin for 2021 ad campaigns, and that any future use of the likeness would be up to Willis.” Earlier this summer, Bruce‘s lawyer responded to an allegation that he was being forced to work despite his health diagnosis.
