BREAKING: Police issue dispersal order in Rochdale town centre after 'around 40 youths' fighting
manchestereveningnews.co.ukPolice have issued a dispersal order in Rochdale this evening after reports of 'up to 40 youths' fighting in the town centre.
Officers were called to Rochdale Interchange at around 5pm on Wednesday evening (December 6), where a large group of young people had gathered and were reportedly fighting.
The dispersal order covers a 500m radius around the transport hub, and will remain in place until 7am on Thursday December 7.
It allows officers to ask people to leave the area. One male, aged 20, has been arrested for public order offences, according to Greater Manchester Police.
