A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after an attack in a park in Rochdale. Police were initially called to reports of a robbery in Falinge Park at around 4.50pm yesterday (Sunday).

The teenage boy was found to have been attacked. He was taken to hospital from the scene with injuries not believed to be serious or life-threatening, police said.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 4.50pm yesterday (Sunday 9 July 2023), officers were called to reports of a robbery at Falinge Park, Rochdale. "A 15-year-old boy was assaulted and taken to hospital with injuries that are believed not to be serious or life-threatening and no arrests have been made at this stage.
