Borna Barisic 'sent message' by Rangers boss Michael Beale after Celtic miss before Croatia duty

Despite appearing to be fit when the Scottish Premiership action resumed, Ridvan Yilmaz was given the nod ahead of the 30-year-old for the victory at McDiarmid Park.
Barisic failed to even make it off the bench in Perth and Falkirk captain McGinn reckons that it was a calculated call by the Rangers boss after he opted to join the national squad after missing the first derby of the campaign.
Speaking to the Go Radio Football Show, McGinn said: "Michael Beale sounded like he wasn’t overly happy with members of his defensive unit over the past few games and it was very interesting to see if there was a change (against St Johnstone). "Obviously he has left out Barisic for Yilmaz.
