Losing a family member is tough on anyone, and when losing them to an incurable disease the pain is greater than ever. This was the circumstances for Joshua Polding, 30, from Bromley Cross, Bolton undertook a remarkable challenge for his late uncle.
After the death of his beloved Uncle Terry, Terence Tuckwood, at age 77, on January 17, he decided to take on a physically demanding challenge in honour of uncle.
Joshua set himself the task of playing 72 holes of golf in a single day to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s UK on the 24th June. Completing this challenge in his honour was my way of turning loss into action and supporting a cause that is crucial to so many families, including my own." Accompanied by his father and six friends from his golf club, Josh navigated his way across the Turton Golf Club paying tribute to his late Uncle.
