A beloved takeaway and curry house in the Northern Quarter known for its generous portions of ‘rice and three’ has gone up for sale online - but not all is quite as it would initially seem.

Cafe Marhaba, located on Back Piccadilly, has been going since 1992 and has a wide range of curries dotted across its walls available to buy individually or as part of a rice and three combo - featuring three curies and a portion of rice for just £8.

Its expansive menu features around 25 curries and dishes of Pakistani and North Indian origin, like lamb Rogan josh, mushroom bhuna and chicken tikka masala.

On Tripadvisor, the restaurant has been heralded for serving 'the best rice and three in Manchester' and for its 'absolutely perfect' selection of food.
