BBC Strictly's Amy Dowden shares cancer update as she enjoys date with rarely-seen husband

Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden looked in bright spirits as she enjoyed a romantic brunch date with her husband Ben Jones as she gave an update on her health amid her battle with breast cancer.The BBC professional dancer tied the knot with her husband Ben, who she says has been her 'rock' since the devastating diagnosis, last year.

The couple met through dance and started dating back in 2011 before he got down on one knee in 2017.Amy revealed the heartbreaking news earlier this year that she had developed stage II breast cancer and has been keeping her fans updated on her progress as she previously shared her concerns about losing her blonde locks before she shaved her hair.The 33-year-old, who has been battling further cancer since July, revealed on Wednesday that Ben had taken her out to brunch to celebrate a “good day” as she continues her battle with cancer, the Mirror reports.

Taking to Instagram, Amy shared a number of snaps of loved-up snaps of herself and Ben at the Pig & Pickle in Dudley as she posed in a floral print top and showed off a new wig, while Ben looked laid back in a high collar jumper.
