The BBC is set to launch an exciting new reality TV show, Stranded on Honeymoon Island, a fresh dating series that pairs up love-starved singles and leaves them stranded on a deserted island. The concept comes from the award-winning CPL Productions, the creative minds behind successful shows such as Married At First Sight UK, Love Is Blind UK, and A League Of Their Own.
Given the production company's track record, this show is tipped to be the next big hit. This will mark the first UK version of Stranded on Honeymoon Island, following its broadcast in Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, with Australia also commissioning the format.Slated for a 2025 release, the programme promises to be "no ordinary relationship show", featuring 12 participants.
In the show, six duos will be expertly matched and then asked to commit to each other in a close-knit ceremony before being left to survive on a remote island, testing their relationships in what could be the adventure of a lifetime.
The couples will have to live together and manage with minimal resources, challenging their budding relationships. The BBC has tantalisingly hinted: "Marooned and alone, they must communicate and collaborate to get by, with nowhere to run when the going gets tough.
