Vernon Kay was forced to miss his Radio 2 show this morning under doctor's orders. The star was replaced by fellow radio presenter Gaby Roslin, 60, who stepped in at the last minute for Tuesday's stint.
Vernon took to Instagram to tell fans he was unable to make work today as he's suffering from a sore throat which is affecting his voice.
Gaby announced the change in line-up to listeners at the top of the mid-morning show as she said: "Gaby in for Vernon Kay. It's a joy to be here.
Vernon, I hope your throat is feeling better."I was listening yesterday, I love the show but did worry about your throat. So take it easy, no talking today."Addressing fans on his Instastories, Family Fortunes host Vernon, 50, said: "Morning everyone, under doctors orders I'm resting my voice."It should be alright tomorrow, but I'm going to slide away from the microphone this morning and just rest the vocal cords.
