Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Anti-racism campaigners have gathered outside Holyrood in the wake of far-right riots taking taking place across the UK. More than one hundred Stand Up to Racism supporters have congregated outside the Scottish Parliament, sending a clear message to far-right thugs there is no place for hate in Scotland.Families including children are among the crowd.

Stand Up To Racism (SUTR) organised the counter-protests to show solidarity after far-right activists from the Scottish Defence Group called on supporters to meet at the Watermill Hotel in Paisley last night to protest against "hundreds of illegal fighting aged men being housed in our communities that are a danger to our children".The group has also allegedly called on followers to meet in several locations across Scotland over the weekend on a now deleted TikTok account.Campaigners holding placards outside Holyrood were heard chanting: "Say it loud, say it clear, refugees are welcome here."Former SNP MP for Edinburgh East, Tommy Shepphard was among protestors outside the Government Building.Taking to social media, he wrote: "Edinburgh SNP members join a thousand strong protest against the far right at Scottish Parliament.
