Alejandro Garnacho has apologised to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for liking tweets that criticised his substitution in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last week.
Garnacho was removed at half-time with United 2-1 down and shortly after the final whistle the 19-year-old liked tweets questioning his removal by a YouTuber.
The Manchester Evening News revealed Ten Hag had taken Garnacho to task over his social media activity and a club spokesperson confirmed the matter had been dealt with internally. The winger has trained this week. "Alejandro is a young player," Ten Hag said. "Has to learn a lot. He has apologised for it and we move on." United take on Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday, having reached the final last season only to be beaten 2-1 by Manchester City.
