Aldi has announced it is cutting the price of one of its popular products ahead of the festive period. The supermarket has cut the price of its milk chocolate peanut butter Ballycastle bottles.

However, after announcing the news on social media, shoppers flocked to the comments to demand the return of old flavours. In the post on Facebook, Aldi said: “Spice up your hot chocolates with our Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Flavoured Ballycastle! READ MORE: “With an even lower price, time to stock up ahead of the festive season!” The festive flavoured drink is discounted to £4.99 from £7.49 between 25 and 31 October.

The original flavour Ballycastle is priced at £5.79 all year round. But people in the comments were disappointed by the milk chocolate peanut butter flavour and are calling for the return of old flavours.

One person said: “Need to bring back the madagascan vanilla one” while another requested: “Please bring the red velvet one back, that was so nice”.
