EXCLUSIVE: A24 has set Q4 theatrical releases for its Venice Film Festival acquisitions, Queer from Luca Guadagnino, and The Brutalist from Brady Corbet.
Queer, which holds a 78% fresh grade with critics on Rotten Tomatoes, will go limited on Nov. 27. The pic, which is adapted from William S.
Burroughs’ novel of the same name by Guadagnino’s Challengers collaborator Justin Kuritzkes, follows William Lee (Daniel Craig) an American ex-pat in his late forties, as he leads a solitary life amidst a small American community.
However, the arrival in town of Eugene Allerton, a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.
