Young people in care across Trafford are set to benefit from more support in their education starting from this month. Trafford council managed to successfully apply to take part in a national pilot scheme where extra focus will be given to the education of 16-18 year olds in the local authority’s care.
The pilot, known as the Pupil Premium Plus Post-16 Pilot, will run from October 2021 until March 2022 and will enable Trafford council to focus extra resources towards looked-after children attending further education colleges.
