Woman rushed to hospital following crash on busy Greater Manchester road
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA woman has been taken to hospital following a crash involving two cars near to an iconic Greater Manchester factory. Officers closed off Barton Dock Road, in Trafford Park, for around two hours following a crash near to the Kellogg's site.
Emergency services raced out to the scene at around 4pm today (April 6) following a collision involving a red Citroen DS3 and a grey Vauxhall Corsa.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called out. Two casualties were checked over at the scene, including a woman who was taken to hospital by ambulance, while fire crews tackled in blaze in one of the cars.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 4pm this afternoon (Thursday, April 6), firefighters were called to reports of a crash between two cars on Barton Dock Road in Stretford.
