A woman has been left needing surgery after a brick was thrown at a bus in Tameside. Greater Manchester Police says the object was launched at a bus while it was on the move along Ashton Road, near to St Mary's Church, in Droylsden.
The victim, who was a passenger on the bus, suffered serious injuries as the brick struck her face. She is set to undergo facial and dental surgery.
Images have been shared today (September 12), showing the horrific extent of the woman's injuries, as well as the damage caused to the bus - with a window completely shattered.
The incident took place at around 10.20pm on Monday, August 19.
