A 26-year-old woman put her girlfriend in a chokehold and bit her face as an ashes-scattering weekend hotel break descended into violence.Laura Olbison has been placed under supervision for 12 months after leaving teeth marks in Megan Collins' face during an attack on her as they travelled to Scotland to scatter her grandmother's ashes.Fiscal depute Stewart Duncan told Perth Sheriff Court: "They had been in a relationship for about two years.

They were in the Travelodge for the accused's birthday."There was a disagreement and the accused left the hotel. The complainer followed her as she had concerns for her welfare.

She told the accused she would phone her parents."The accused grabbed her from behind and put her in a chokehold and put an arm round her neck to try and bring her to the ground."When this failed she bit her to the left side of the face.

When the accused calmed down, the complainer agreed to drive her to scatter her grandmother's ashes."The complainer stated she wished to end the relationship.
