A Wishaw-born author has announced the release of her new audiobook which tells the tale of one woman’s struggle in the shadow of the Ravenscraig Steelworks.

Kate Fridriks’ debut novel, Real Gone Kid, a captivating and heart-warming coming-of-age story, set in a fictional steel town within sight of the steelworks in 1984.She has dedicated her book to her father, Peter Carroll, who was an avid reader and writer.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
